Case study: Making the Tonys culturally relevant
To get audiences to tune in to the upcoming Tony Awards, I developed a digital content strategy to build excitement around the personal moments created between the performers and fans. As a content strategist at The Charles NYC, I created a comprehensive digital strategy that focused on increasing the cultural relevance of the Tonys by creating emotional connections with new audience targets. After creating personas, a SWOT analysis, and brand & style guide, I also led the execution of the digital campaign. For the digital campaign, I created editorial calendars, wrote copy for emails and social media, and coordinated live coverage during the event for both red carpet and winner announcements on Instagram. The campaign kicked off with this video, for which I also wrote the copy. “This made me tear up,” one commenter wrote.
